Do You Love Using Sticky Notes For Lists?

Do you use sticky notes for lists and can’t even FIND the list you remember making because it’s buried underneath so many other lists? Something important slips through the cracks because you had too many lists at the same time? Said another way:  Are you addicted to making lists with sticky notes?

Sticky notes:  perfect!

Ah, those sticky notes to the rescue!  Ever wonder why people make lists?  Simply put: fear of forgetting something important they want to remember.

Do you like to make list after list?

Truth be told, making lists is very common. Nothing wrong with it at all. No need to stop. However, if your lists become so excessive that they fail to serve their intended purpose, what have you really accomplished?

Think about that for a second!

How do you use sticky notes for lists?

    • Do you like to use colorful paper sticky notes for lists?  Write notes with a pen and hang them in various places where you will be certain to see them?
    • Or do you prefer  to use digital sticky notes on your computer so they are always visible when using your computer?
    • Perhaps you love sticky note apps on a tablet or your smartphone?
    • When you really think about it, the possibilities are endless.

Computer stickies?  Sure!

  • In Windows 7, open the Start Menu and type “sticky” in its search field. Once the result are displayed, click on Sticky Notes.
  • In Windows 8.1, switch to the Start screen and start typing “sticky” on it. When the search results are starting to appear, click or tap on the “Sticky Notes” shortcut.
  • In Windows 10, click on the Start button, scroll down the All Apps list and click on the entry for Sticky Notes. Or simply type the phrase “Sticky Notes” in the Cortana search field and click on the result for Sticky Notes.

What about apps?

What about tablet and smartphone apps? Oh, yes! While most all devices have a “notes” feature already installed, if you prefer the look and feel of a colorful sticky, maybe even with a cute pushpin attached, why not go for it?

There are a multitude of choices in the app store for your smartphones and tablets, and guess what?  Many of them are completely free. So who doesn’t like free?

Hey, why not experiment with a few free apps before deciding which is your favorite? After all, different strokes for different folks, right?

And, of course, apps no longer serving their purpose can be deleted with a quick finger swipe.

Another reason why you love making lists?

That’s an easy one to answer: the satisfied feeling you get by checking things off or deleting listed items as “done.”

It’s a sense of accomplishment!  One less “to do” item.  As a result, now you have room for the addition of one more “to do” item!

Do you even have a sort of established personal rule to “drop one before adding a new one”?  As a result, you are not overwhelmed with too many simultaneous lists, right?  This, therefore, enables you to concentrate on the most pressing matters on one of your lists.
