Working from home:  Yes!

Litigation Transcriptionist

Beverly wanted to be able to work from home in a lucrative field that interested her.  But what?  Let’s check out what she says!

Beverly's Story

Originally from Louisiana, Beverly lives in California and has been employed in customer service, among other types of work.  She knew that transcribing from home was her goal, yet she needed some serious training first.  We’ll let her explain a little more.

When did you know that you wanted to be a  litigation transcriptionist?

Years ago, I worked as a deputy clerk at my courthouse.  Part of my job was filing transcripts of court proceedings.  They fascinated me, and I wanted to learn how they were created.

So what happened from there?

Well, I held a variety of different jobs throughout the years.  However, I never forgot about my dream job of legal transcription.  I just didn’t know where to start.

One day, I was searching online for “legal transcription,” and a certain training program caught my attention.  So I emailed for more information.  I liked what I heard and enrolled in their self-study legal transcription course right away.

So how did self-study training go for you?

Although it was very interesting, I found it hard to fit it into my schedule.  If I studied at night, I couldn’t stay awake.  Not because the course was boring, but because I was so tired from working all day.

Later on, I saw where Linda Wilson, the owner, was offering fast-track live training.  Exactly what I wanted!

So did you enroll in the fast-track legal transcription training?

Oh, yes!  And I loved every minute of it.  This was online “live” training.  As a result, I was very engaged, could ask questions and get immediate answers.  The training was much better than I had even imagined!

I’m still amazed at how much we learned in such a short time.  And I am very, very happy that I took the fast-track training.  Oh, and the price was excellent, too.  In fact, as students, we told the instructor that the price was too low.

It’s definitely career training, and the cost should be much higher.  I compared what this course cost vs. other training, and it was an easy choice for me.

Anything else you want to add?

There is an apprenticeship, too!  And I’ve already gotten two offers!  I am so excited to finally live out my dream!
